Redevelopment for GV Health has commenced

The redevelopment of GV Health Hospital in Shepparton has begun with Minister for Health Jill Hennessy attending to celebrate and kick start the early site preparation works.

The redevelopment will include; 64 inpatient beds, 10 intensive care unit beds, 7 operating theatres, a new kitchen, a new morgue as well as a new emergency department which will be double the capacity including 36 treatment spaces and 9-bed short stay unit. The project is also catering for growing families with a women’s and children’s area and a expanded 16 chair dialysis patients unit.

Furthermore, this will also create more than 140 jobs whilst under construction which is a big boost for our local economy. Construction is due to be completed by late 2020.
