The Victorian Government released a socio-economic impact study into the Murray Darling Basin Plan. This work highlights the significant social and economic costs to our region, and it vindicates the work of the GMID Water Leadership Forum’s work, in that it reaches similar conclusions. The Federal Government must acknowledge the weight of mounting credible evidence that the removal of an additional 450 gigalitres will have massive negative social consequences.
