The Committee joined with Greater Shepparton City Council and Goulburn Murray Water to sponsor pre-dinner drinks at the Gala dinner for the National Horticulture Convention in Melbourne. This enabled us to showcase a Great Things Happen Here video to the 1500 horticulture industry leaders who attended the dinner. The video featured Catherine Velisha who has expanded her vegetable growing operation from Werribee to Greater Shepparton and is a strong advocate for others in her industry to follow suit. Greater Shepparton also featured in the major award of the evening, with Jason Shields from Plunkett Orchards winning Grower of the year.
