FREIGHT AIRPORT PUSH: Goulburn Valley farmers are excited about the prospect of a freight airport in northern Victoria, with Shepparton named as one of the potential sites.

The airport would be a hub, transporting produce into Asia, servicing the booming Chinese market and benefiting local growers.
