About the event

About the forum

  • An opportunity to meet your candidates. The Committee for Greater Shepparton (C4GS) is an independent, apolitical, not-for-profit organisation—not part of government, council or agency. We host this forum to help community members get to know the candidates seeking their vote and understand their priorities, perspectives and approach.

  • Candidate participation. Candidate nominations close at midday on Monday 9 November 2026. C4GS will make every effort to contact all candidates and invite them to participate. Participation is each candidate’s decision, and we cannot guarantee that all candidates will attend.

  • A moderated conversation, not a debate. C4GS will moderate a panel discussion, giving candidates an opportunity to respond to questions and explain their positions. Attendees are asked to respect the format and follow the moderator’s directions.

  • Submitting a question in advance. You can submit a question online when registering. Following the moderated discussion, we will put a selection of these questions to the candidates.…
